The Public Authority for Youth has affirmed its commitment to fostering the talents of Kuwaiti youth through the Youth Creativity League project, now in its fifth season. The project, designed to support and develop the creativity of young Kuwaitis, aims to guide them toward success and excellence.
Dr. Mishaal Al-Janoubi, Acting Deputy Director General of the Authority for the Youth Development Sector, highlighted in a press statement the launch of project activities for the current season. The diverse fields covered this season include the Holy Qur’an, robotics, the scientific journal, scientific research, mathematics, drawing, and youth debates, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Janoubi emphasized that preliminary qualifiers for mathematics and workshops for debate training have already commenced. Competitions for the remaining fields will follow suit, taking place in various youth centers.
Acknowledging the substantial interest from young participants, Al-Janoubi noted that registration for the league is divided into three levels: beginners (7-10 years), intermediate (11-14 years), and advanced (15-18 years).
This initiative aligns with the national development plan, emphasizing the encouragement of creativity and technological production among youth on a foundation of scientific principles. Al-Janoubi highlighted the successful collaboration between the Authority and various state agencies related to youth work, with a notable mention of the Ministry of Education.
The Creativity League, integral to the country’s developmental agenda, has demonstrated success, notably with the Kuwaiti school debate team securing first place in the sixth international school debate championship in the Arabic language held in Qatar last September. Al-Janoubi emphasized the league’s significant role in building and refining the personalities of participating students.
Encouraging Kuwaiti youth to register in their chosen league areas, Al-Janoubi directed them to the Public Authority for Youth website (www.youth.gov.kw) for registration. He also urged them to stay updated on qualifier locations and times through the Authority’s social media platforms, emphasizing that all participation is free.
