The Ministry of Public Works announced as part of the annual 2021/2022 plan three projects will be carried out by the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport (PART).
Al-Anba learned from informed sources the first project is the construction, completion and maintenance of a road linking the existing part of the Sixth Ring Road and the southern part of the regional road; the tender for this project (H T/242) will be floated again and the completion period is 36 months (the re-tendering is expected to happen on Jan 1, 2022) in which international companies are expected to send their bids.
The second project is the construction, completion and maintenance of a rainwater drainage system for the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, number (H i/291), and in general bidding is available for local companies, its implementation period is 12 months, and date of floating the tender is expected to be announced on Dec 1, 2021.
As for the third project, it is the construction and completion of roads and rainwater passage ways in the northwest of Jahra area. It is a public tender for local companies, bearing No. (H/231) and the implementation period is 18 months. The tender date will be announced later.
