The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport revealed that the construction, completion and maintenance of roads and intersections on the Seventh Ring Road are 95 percent. The project is expected to be handed over at the end of this year.
The sources told a local Arabic daily that the development work on the Seventh Ring Road which the authority is close to completing includes the development of the road linking Fahaheel and Kabd with a length of 21.8 km, and the development work includes 7 intersections serving the nearby areas.
The sources indicated that the project is part of the regional road network, linking Fahaheel Road with the Al-Salmi Road, and work is under way to speed its completion and handing over.
The sources pointed out that the road was designed with 6 lanes, in each direction, in addition to an additional lane for future expansion, with the provision of truck parking and pedestrian bridges that aim to serve the people living in the nearby areas on the road.
