National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim announced on Tuesday he would call for regular sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

He called on MPs to cooperate with the secretriate general for finishing all medical examinations on Monday for the coronavirus ahead of the scheduled sessions. Speaking at the parliament headquarters, the speaker said MPs and staff who would attend the due sessions would be subjected to the examinations.

He declared on July 13 delaying a session that was due that day after a number of MPs tested positive for bearing the germ. On June 30, he declared receiving an interpellation motion from MP Riad Al-Adsani to grill Minister of Finance Barrak Al-Sheetan at the first upcoming session.

Yesterday (Monday), Al- Ghanim confirmed that he also received another motion from MP Shuaib Al-Mwaizri to question the minister of interior at the next session.
