The date of the 2020 National Assembly elections will possibly fall on November 28th, according to Al-Jarida daily. The daily said, quoting sources that preparations are underway at the Interior Ministry’s Elections Department including setting up health precautions in line with the preventative measures against the coronavirus, specially calling for social distancing and requiring face masks at election halls.
The number of eligible voters are around 574,000, majority are men, who will be given a chance to vote between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. Around 7,000 voters were removed from the register, including those who are deceased, and citizens who lost their privileges after being convicted in cases.
