The Information Technology Department of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), is ready to circulate the text of the new decision and the exceptions included in the decision regarding the issue of the non-graduate expatriates 60 years and above who now can renew their residence permits for a fee.
The sources told Al-Qabas a meeting is expected to be held today (Sunday) for discussion on the new version of the 60s decision.
The sources added, special arrangements will be made to upload the health insurance cover for this category of residents issued by private sector companies through the automated system in addition to the prescribed fee, while the security approval requirement will be linked to automated systems with the Ministry of Interior.
Those who are exempted from the decision include three categories of people — children of Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaiti men, those born in Kuwait and the Palestinians. The sources said their number is close to 7,000 residents, most of them were born in Kuwait.
The sources pointed out that the total number of sixty-year-olds born in Kuwait is 6,403 until June 2021, including those who hold university degrees.
