The statistic issued by the Domestic Workers Recruitment Regulating Department in the Public Authority for Manpower said 733 complaints from employers (sponsors) against owners of offices and companies recruiting domestic workers during the past month, and from domestic workers against their employers and office owners and vice versa.

According to a local Arabic daily, statistics indicated 580 complaints were received by the department from employers against offices or companies and 140 complaints against business owners, one complaint from a female worker against an office, and 12 complaints from offices against workers, pointing out that the administration referred 91 labor complaints to the judiciary, including 31 complaints about absconding from work, 15 were related to holding travel documents.

The daily added, the administration resolved 369 complaints amicably between workers and business owners.

The statistics stated that the administration collected one thousand dinars for the benefit of the workers, and 127,000 from recruitment offices for the benefit of employers.

The sources added 40 licenses were suspended for various reasons.
