The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) is considering allowing the transfer of family visas to work visas once again, after a two-month break, Al-Qabas daily reported.
Informed sources said that this new decision arises from humanitarian motive, as there are a large section of expats, especially females, who entered the country for the first time need work permits (Article 18).
The daily said, quoting sources, the transfer procedure requires the approval of the Undersecretary of the Employment Affairs Sector at the authority, and will invite a payment of KD300 dinars if the transfer period from residency permit to work visa to family visa is less than 6 months, and also depends on the issuance of a receipt detailing the sequence of visas from MoI, said sources.
