Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has denied news circulated about allowing an exemption for workers who have reached the age of 60, even those with a higher secondary school certificate, from the decision to end the renewal of their work permit. It pointed out that what has been circulated is incorrect, and no decision has been taken by PAM except for the ones that were already announced and implemented, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The daily reported that an audio recording was made known that included a semi-official confirmation for three amendments to exclude specific groups in the ban decision. The recording revealed that the amendments will be presented to the competent committee and are subject to revision and review before approval and publication in the Official Gazette.
