The Public Authority for Manpower *PAM) has started receiving residence renewal transactions requests from non-graduate expatriates who are 60 years and above in line with instructions issued in this regard – 250 dinars for residence renewal fees and 500 dinars insurance cover set by the Insurance Regulatory Unit (IRU).

Al-Qabas said, Wednesday, companies will be able to submit requests to renew the residence permits of their employees who fall under this category from today. The private insurance policy has to be purchased from one of the insurance companies listed by the IRU. The total insurance fee is 503 dinars – KD 500 for insurance fee and KD 2 as miscellaneous charges.

The same system receives renewal transactions requests for those who are excluded from the ‘60s law’ who have to pay 50 dinars, 10 for the renewal of work permits. In all cases the applications have to be uploaded on the ‘Ashal’ system.
