By the end of May, the Public Authority for Manpower has successfully sanctioned the endorsement of 2,902 vocations through its automated systems.

A report, available to Al-Qabas, revealed that the authority has harmonized professions, titles, and educational attainment according to the unified Gulf manual. Additionally, distinct numerical identifiers have been assigned to each profession, delineating the associated title and educational level.

Of these approved professions, 690 demand a “diploma” certification. These encompass roles such as supervisors of establishments like restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets, parks, and juice bars, as well as chefs and skilled culinary professionals.

Moreover, specific technical roles including documentation, web development, operating broadcast equipment, television broadcasting, sound effects, lighting, photography, editing, cosmetics, and communication require a diploma.

Diploma holders also earn the “manager” title in various positions, encompassing roles like hotel reception manager, restaurant manager, food and beverage service manager, wholesale store manager, and retail store manager.

For the designation of “vocational trainer,” the possession of a diploma has become a prerequisite in domains like carpentry, spinning and weaving, sewing, driving, car electrical systems, upholstery, metal construction, animal husbandry, agriculture, etiquette, and food preservation.

Furthermore, the authority has outlined 908 professions for holders of intermediate certificates. These include roles such as well drilling equipment operators, well drillers, pump operators, mechanics for oil and gas pipeline laying, sewing machine operators, as well as those dealing with leather coating and meat processing machinery.
