The Embassy of Pakistan celebrated National Day at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the presence of the Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Dr. Badr Al-Mulla, and a large number of diplomats.

The Pakistani Ambassador, H.E Malik Farooq pointed out that this year’s ‘Pakistan Day’ celebrations are distinct as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between Kuwait and Pakistan, which was followed by a short documentary shown on the development of these relations.

He added that the National Day of Pakistan is a symbol of their nation’s pride and is a historic celebration of the country’s distinguished culture and heritage.

He revealed that an exhibition of the highest quality of Pakistani products will soon be held, in cooperation between the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federal Chamber of Commerce of Pakistan. 

He also announced the arrival of the 18th batch of Pakistani doctors, nurses and technicians in Kuwait which highlights the cooperation between the two nations in the medical field, while also adding that the arrival of the 19th batch was ongoing.

Kuwaiti investments in Pakistan are secure and continuously developing through the Kuwait Investment Authority and the Kuwait Oil Company, while skilled Pakistani workforce have been contributing to the development and construction of Kuwait’s infrastructure for several decades, pointing out that the Pakistani forces played an important role in mine clearance operations on the Bubiyan Island in the early 1990s.
