The Public Authority for Housing Welfare announced the distribution of 9012 housing units to citizens during 2022, within 3 housing projects — South Sabah Al-Ahmad, South Sa’ad Al-Abdullah, and Jaber Al-Ahmad City.

According to recent the statistics issued by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) the total number of new applicants was 7408 applicants, while of the total 12577 while 6047 documentation transactions were completed, reports Al-Qabas daily.

It indicated that it achieved an annual return from rental contracts amounting to 1.968 million dinars, noting that 96 public buildings with its housing projects have been completed, and 81 others are under implementation.

It stated that it conducted 41 lots to distribute housing units to citizens, and delivered 22,003 certificates to ‘To Whom It May Concern’ to obtain building orders in 3 projects — Al-Mutlaa, South Abdullah Al-Mubarak and South Khaitan.

The PAHW revealed that it had issued 20 tenders during 2022, and signed 39 contracts for public buildings, infrastructure, lighting, asphalt and construction works.

The authority confirmed that it had completed the electronic link with 8 government agencies — the Public Authority for Disability Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the General Authority for Minors Affairs and Civil Information, the Civil Service Bureau, the Credit Bank and Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS).

The PAHW indicated that electronic transactions through the “Sahel” application topped the list of completed transactions by 72%, after raising 11 services through the government application, followed by transactions submitted through the institution’s centers with a rate of 25.7%.
