The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) is working to accelerate the issuance of new civil ID cards for five categories within 24 hours, Al-Rai daily reported.
An informed source revealed to the daily that the authority has taken a number of measures to accelerate the pace of work adhering to safety measures required due to coronavirus.
The Assistant General Director of Al-Asousi with the appeals that reached the authority, and his issuance of instructions to the concerned sectors in the authority to issue the civil ID within 24 hours only of its submission. For five categories- citizens, Gulf workers, domestic workers (Article 20), expatriates in the government sector (Article 17), and children under 5 years old.
