The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) is expending great efforts to better serve the public and facilitate procedures for the completion of transactions, the authority recently opened two halls one for the elderly and the other for people with special needs to handle paperwork for citizens and expats, reports Al Rai daily. The authority took these steps to allow for the aforementioned categories to easily be able to finish up these procedures without the trouble of waiting as the working hours are in the morning and evening.

Director of the Public Relations and Information Department in the authority Ahmed Al-Sabr said that booking appointments and strict compliance with health regulations are part of the conditions that visitors must meet to process their transactions.

He stressed these steps are aimed at protecting employees and visitors from a possible spread of the coronavirus. He disclosed the authority serves smart card holders for approval of the electronic signature that is required by some agencies like the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) and Kuwait Credit Bank (KCB) during the morning period only.
