At a time when the Public Authority for Civil Information stopped the service of delivering civil cards to homes, informed sources said the suspension of this service was due to the failure to renew the contract with the company, and the last request for renewal of the contract was submitted to the Audit Bureau on July 28, 2021.

According to Al-Qabas daily PACI get 650 fils from the two dinars paid by the card holder while the rest of the collection value goes to the beneficiary company.

The Audit Bureau report revealed that the company continued to provide its services during 2022, despite the end of the contract last July, and the authority stopped the service from this month.

Meanwhile, PACI is believed to be expediting the issuance of cards for domestic workers, citizens, and residents working in government agencies, and solve the problem of delay in obtaining cards for workers in the private sector and those on dependence visas, but the issue may continue for months while the citizens and residents continue to complain of the difficulty in obtaining civil cards.
