A Filipino and a Kuwaiti have confessed that they were aware of the 700 bottles of alcohol which was seized from a yacht belonged to a well-known social media personality and that a warrant has been issued for his arrest, but security sources confirmed no arrest warrant has been issued so far and that extensive investigators are continuing,

Informed sources told a local Arabic daily  that investigations are continuing into the seizure of liquor coming from a Gulf country on board a yacht, indicating that the information is still not conclusively clear so far about the identity of the owner of the liquor, and that it is too early to say so immediately.

The sources stated that the two people were arrested on board the yacht — one of them (the captain) is a resident of the Philippines, and the second is a citizen who represents the maintenance company for the yacht.

The sources indicated that the two were referred to the Public Prosecution, where they admitted that they knew that there was alcohol on board the yacht, and that one of them said it was for personal use, and the other stated that it was for trafficking, indicating that the accusation needs conclusive evidence, and careful examination of the various evidence.

The cooperation between the Ministry of Interior represented by the Coast Guard and the General Administration of Customs, resulted in the seizure.
