At least 2,769 Covid-19 cases were recorded in Ahmadi Health from 1 July to 21 August 2022. According to the report, 88 percent of these cases were diagnosed in private laboratories, wherein approximately 53 percent were women, 65 percent were Kuwaitis, and 54 percent were between 21-40 years old.

According to the Director of Al-Ahmadi Health District, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatti, the periodic follow-up report for Covid-19 cases in the region was within the framework of monitoring the health situation and assessing epidemiological risks.

He added that compared to the situation at the onset of the pandemic, the current infection rate is the lowest since December 2021 and is considered one of the lowest since April 2020, pointing out that the sharing accommodation in the preventive centers of Al-Adan and Fahaheel was the largest among the rest of the other preventive centers. However, the rate of infections gradually decreased in recent reports.

The report also showed that 13 cases were recorded among the employees of Al-Adan Hospital (two of them in August), which are considered the lowest reported case since the spread of the pandemic, and four coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in Al-Adan Hospital during the mentioned period, which is also considered at the lowest range. Moreover, there is a decrease in the number of intensive care admissions related to Covid-19 at Al-Adan Hospital in recent months, compared to the January and February 2022 reports.
