The Ministry of Communications asked the Municipality to allocate land at 6 different locations to establish communication centers in preparation for the launch of the major fiber optic network project.

The Undersecretary of the ministry Kholoud Al-Shehab said in a letter addressed to the Municipality that the Reform and Development Committee of the Municipal Council discussed the allocation of land for the aforementioned ministry project, and the request was made to urgently allocate the 6 sites to which the Municipal Council has expressed its willingness to allocate 3 sites in Wafra, Kabd, and Abdali, however, the ministry has not yet obtained official approval.
