The decision to allow expatriates to enter Kuwait from August 1 is only valid for residents with valid residencies. No decisions have been issued to allow those expatriates who obtain visas on arrival at Kuwait International Airport or Seaports, Al-Rai reported.

The Corona Emergency Committee has not informed the Ports and Residence Affairs sector of opening visas for foreigners wishing to visit Kuwait, after the decision was issued to allow residents to enter the country as of August 1.

The decision issued by the Council of Ministers includes only the entry of residents who have valid residencies, provided that they have obtained two doses of one of the approved vaccines. The sources confirmed to the daily that the decision to prevent entry to European passport holders and some other countries is still valid.

More than 400,000 residents are stranded abroad, according to available estimates, most of them will not be able to return in August, because only a few of them received two doses of the vaccine, and it is very difficult in some countries to obtain a dose of the four approved vaccines in Kuwait ( Pfizer – Oxford – Johnson – Moderna).
