The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Directorate-General Fire Department stated one person died as a result of a diesel tank explosion opposite Mina Abdullah Scrapyard.
The daily said after the DGFD Central Operations Department received a report Tuesday evening diesel fell while someone was opening the filler cap, causing an explosion but no fire, reports Al-Rai daily.
The accident resulted in the death of the person and his remains were handed over to Forensics.
