Dr. Obaid Al-Wasmi won the by-elections. He received more than 43,000 votes, Al Qabas reported.
Counselor Abdullah Al-Othman, Chairman of the Main Committee, announced that Obaid Al-Wasmi won the seat, with 43,810 votes.
The supplementary elections were held in the fifth district of the sixteenth legislative term, in which 15 candidates competed for the seat vacated by the revocation of former deputy Badr al-Dahoum.
