With the Ministry of Interior resuming receiving requests for commercial and family visas and entry visas, at the beginning of this week, after a pause that accompanied the precautionary measures to confront the emerging “Corona” virus pandemic, “Al-Rai” learned from security sources that the decision “does not include citizens of the nationalities of 7 countries, namely Iraq, Yemen and Iran. Syria, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sudan.

They explained that these nationalities are not granted business, work or family visas, except with the approval of the Minister of Interior.

Yesterday, the residence affairs departments continued to receive applicants to issue entry visas to their families, who meet the conditions for entering the country in accordance with the mechanism and controls set by the Ministry of Interior, and health requirements.

The sources stated that in the past, the Ports and Passports Department granted tourist visas to a number of passport holders who do not require a prior visa to enter the country, upon their arrival at the airport, where they are granted it through the ports, but this matter is currently suspended, revealing that this type of visa will become “online” so that it can be obtained in advance through the website of the Ministry of Interior (Residency Affairs) after entering the required papers and uploading the certificate of vaccination against the virus
