Director of the Public Authority for Disabily Affairs with, Dr Shafiqa Al-Awadi has point blank denied what is published on the social media account of MP Dr. Hamad Al-Matar that she has tampered with the with files and dismissed all Kuwaiti directors, and that legal affairs of the authority are managed by an expatriate tailor and another is a member of a committee.
Al-Awadi said in a press statement “this information is completely untrue,” and added, “there are no tailors in the legal department, and requested for evidence so that the matter becomes crystal clear to everyone.” Al-Rai quoting Dr Al-Awadhi added, the authority always supports national workers who manage the authority’s Legal Affairs Department.”
With regard to the issue of the director of the ‘Authority’ dismissing Kuwaiti directors, she clarified that she is not allowed to delegate, transfer, appoint or dismiss anyone holding supervisory positions in the Authority according to Ministerial Resolution No. 5 of 2021. She added, such powers rests with the Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development.
