The Ministry of the Interior is heading to continue its extensive campaigns to apprehend violators of the residency law in various governorates, to take legal measures against them, and to expel them quickly to their countries, in the absence of any new deadline to correct their situation.

While the residency affairs departments in the Ministry of Interior returned to receiving visa transactions for expatriates, security sources confirmed to Al-Rai that “violators will not be given any new deadline, especially since the ministry took into account the humanitarian aspect, during the crisis of the (Coronavirus) pandemic, and granted 4 opportunities. Through 4 different deadlines for violators to benefit from to adjust their conditions and pay financial fines.

They stated that “the large numbers of violators are mainly due to the fact that many residents have obtained visitor visas for members of their families, but unfortunately they did not adhere to the prescribed period and their presence in the country has passed for several years.”

As the number of violators was estimated at 160,000, the sources explained that these people did not benefit from the four grace periods that were previously granted, and therefore they must leave the country, indicating that “they still have the opportunity to initiate as soon as possible to pay the financial fines and leave the country voluntarily and return again with a new visa..

And she stressed that “in the event that the violator is caught by the security authorities, he will be fingerprinted and deported, and he will be banned from entering the country for life, and he will be denied entry to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries for a period of 5 years.

It is noteworthy that the Department of Deportation and Temporary Detention Affairs in the General Administration of Correctional Institutions expelled 426 violators during a week (from 3 to 11 March), including 287 men and 139 women
