First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf confirmed that the situation is under control with regard to the Mubarakiya fire, after the firefighters succeeded in besieging the fire from all sides because it did not spread, and the raging fire is currently under control, local Arabic dailies reported
Al-Nawaf, who was at the site, said that “there are no injuries or deaths, in the fire.” Also present at the site were Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al Fares, and heads of the General Fire Brigade.
The fire force department appealed to citizens and residents not to gather in the Mubarakiya market fire area, as well as the roads leading to it to facilitate the task of the public fire force and emergency teams.
