Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 4,548 new cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 446,547
Meanwhile 741 cases of recovery were recorded, bringing the total number of people recovered to 415,608, indicating that the percentage of total cases of recovery out of the total infections amounted to 93.1 percent. No deaths were recorded as a result of the infection, bringing the total number of registered cases to 2473.
MOH stated that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 17 cases, while the total number of cases that were confirmed to be infected and are still receiving the necessary care reached 28,466, and the total number of cases in (Covid 19) wards is 200 cases.
MOH added that the number of swabs that were conducted in the same period amounted to 35,335, bringing the total of tests to 6308844, noting that the percentage of infections for the number of these swabs amounted to 12.9 percent.
