The League of Arab States will hold its annual high level summit on May 19 in Riyadh, according to a senior official in the Arab organization in Cairo.

Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, which is based in Cairo, said in a statement that “the 32nd summit will be held on May 19 in Saudi Arabia, after the kingdom’s authorities agreed on the date,” reports Al-Jarida daily.

The last summit was at the level of Arab League leaders, which includes 22 countries, held in Algeria in November and was the first after a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.

At the Algiers summit, Arab leaders discussed regional conflicts, especially in Syria and Libya, as well as the normalization of relations with Israel by some Arab countries in recent years.
