The Tourism Enterprises Company has chosen Al-Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading Company for the main works package estimated at 14 million dinars ($46 million) for the new Messilah Beach project.

Al-Qabas quoting MEED magazine said the scope of the contract includes the construction of 9,500 square meters of restaurants, swimming and recreation areas, running and landscaping trails, and 450 parking spaces.

Work on the new Messilah Beach development is expected to be completed in 2023, according to the regional project tracker Med Projects.

It is reported that all existing facilities, green spaces, and facilities on Messilah Beach were demolished to make way for the new area.

The Gulf Consult is advisory to the project, and UK-based Cracknell is the architectural advisor for the project.
