The Government Performance Follow-up Agency, headed by Sheikh Ahmad Mishaal Al-Ahmad, published an explanatory video about the new maternity hospital in light of the agency’s commitment to its role in following up the executive position of government projects, and the hospital is considered one of the important projects in Kuwait.
Eng Meshari Al-Shehab, one of the national cadres working in the government follow-up sector of the agency, gave a detailed explanation of the hospital building, which is located in a privileged location on the coast of Kuwait Bay, in the Al-Sabah Medical District, opposite the current Maternity Hospital; and spoke of the highest levels and international standards in terms of architectural designs and equipment for technical and medical services. It includes 780 beds, 27 operation theaters and 60 maternity wards.
He described the project as a medical edifice in addition to the various achievements of Kuwait, which set the contractual completion date on March 1, after work began on March 8, 2017, and the actual completion rate last October reached 80 percent.
