Company representatives (mandoubs) in the country, irrespective of whether they are Kuwaitis or expatriates, are to be issued with new identity cards. This follows an administrative order issued by the Acting Director-General of the Residence Affairs Department, Colonel Sheikh Abdullah Al-Malek Al-Sabah.
The decision to issue new IDs come in the wake of reports that some people were using the ID to impersonate military personnel, as both IDs appear identical at first glance. The new IDs being issued to mandoubs is radically different from the old one, said an informed source.
