The new government is expected to be formed on Tuesday, after HH PM Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled soon finalizes the expected arrangement, which was conducted after consultations with parliamentary groups, social figures, public interest associations and specialists. The MPs who declared their intention to question PM Al-Khaled after the formation of the new government are still sticking to their positions, Al Rai reported, quoting Government sources.

Deputy Assistant Al-Ardi told Al-Rai: “My interrogation of the prime minister is ready, and I will present it as soon as the government takes the oath, and they know the desires and priorities of the Kuwaiti people.”

A number of MPs had declared their support for the interrogation of the PM, over what they described as “constitutional violations”, which was a main issue before the cabinet resigned.

In January, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received at Seif Palace on Tuesday Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and the ministers. Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali tendered the resignation of all the cabinet members, “In light of current developments regarding the relation between the National Assembly and the Government, and what the national interest may warrant.”

The resignation came one month after the government was formed.
