The decision to reduce the number of passengers arriving in Kuwait by setting 35 passengers per flight limit has created new difficulties for those coming from banned countries.

Expats coming from banned countries who have been staying in non banned countries for 14 days will have to stay in transit countries for an additional period due to lack of ticket availability during this period, Al Qabas daily reported.

Some expats before the implementation of this decision booked new transit tickets and entered visa Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia to return to Kuwait. Now, the ticket prices have reached KD 850 with transit hours up to 20 hours.

There has been a great rush for booking of flights whereas some airlines have canceled their flights going to Kuwait as economically it is not feasible to fly with just 35 passengers.

On other hand, Kuwait International Airport witnessed the implementation of the decision of not crossing 1,000 passengers per day. The procedure for examining arriving passengers proceeded normally, several flights landed, passengers were examined before allowing their entry into the country as a part of precautionary measures.
