It gives me great pleasure to convey the sincerest congratulations on the occasion of the 61st Independence Day and 31st Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait.
Last year, which was the first time I attended National and Liberation Day celebrations here, the flags and lights decorating buildings and houses all over the country were eye-catching. They reminded me of how we celebrate King’s Day in the Netherlands.
I believe many of our Kuwaiti friends have experienced attending King’s Day celebrations in the Netherlands, as the Netherlands is one of their favorite travel destinations. This year, I am looking forward to having deeper experience with national and liberation days celebrations in Kuwait. So let us all enjoy the marvelous festivities and celebrations together.
I remain committed to working closely with Kuwaiti officials to consistently promote bilateral cooperation in all spheres, based on common principles, international norms, trust and mutual understanding.
