As the coronavirus situation does not show any immediate improvements, the social organizations are in a dilemma. Calls requesting for medicine, food and money for air tickets are ever-increasing. And the stock available in these organizations are decreasing as the days pass. The donations are also limited as most of the people are facing cuts in their income.

Commercial establishments have come to the rescue in such situations. But most of the shops are closed, making the situation more grave. Some of them need our help. The shops that are permitted to open are also facing a huge decline in business. All shops except that dealing with foodstuff and medicines are closed. Lockdown of Hawally, Khaitan and Farwaniya along with Abbasiya, Hasawi and Mahboula, which were already under lockdown worsened the situation. But that was not an excuse to slow down the distribution of food kits.

The organization in the society endeavored to continue their relief activities. Welfare & Kaniv is one of the well organized team that approached Nesto Hypermarket. The Nesto management wowed those who put forward the request by offering 500 food kits. Each of the kits had one month of food for one person. Team Welfare Covid relief captain Khaleelurahman, KIG Kaniv Volunteers, NC Basheer and Faisal received the kits.

Nesto Regional Manager V Kareem, Operations Manager VK Namsheer, Store Manager Ambadi, Finance Manager Thaseem attended the handing over ceremony. Team welfare has distributed 4600 food kits all over Kuwait, said the Team Welfare, Kaniv organizers.
