The National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature revealed its intention to establish a project for the historic Barahat Al-Falah, which aims to link the national cultural components — Kuwait National Museum, Kuwait National Library, Al-Qibliyya School, Al-Sadu House, Al-Badr House, Al-Khalid Building, Al-Sayer Al-Sharqi Mosque, Saeed Mosque, Al-Sharhan Mosque — to achieve interdependence in the urban fabric and improve the quality of pedestrian and visitor movement, especially in the area adjacent to the old Mubarakiya market and the Municipal Garden.

The council indicated that one of the project’s goals is to promote the region as a tourist destination by providing support infrastructure services, and facilitating the process of moving to and from the region in support of the creative economy and the guidelines of the fourth structural plan of the State of Kuwait 2040, which aims to create more prosperous and connected places, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The council hoped to hold a joint workshop in the presence of representatives of the municipality and the design department in the Networks and Distribution Department of the Ministry of Electricity and Water, in order to reach the best solutions regarding the proposed location of the power station.
