Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) referred a Ministry of Education (MoE) official to Public Prosecution on charges of negligent damage to public funds, reports Al Qabas.

A responsible source revealed that the Council of Ministers notified MoE through an official letter that the Nazaha report contains suspicion of corruption against a Director-General of MoE, and based on the results of the investigation, and evidences the case is referred to the public prosecution.

The source indicated that the accusation directed against the Director-General is on a suspicion of neglecting public money against the Law on the Protection of Public Funds.

Minister of Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi is to review the matter and take measures the ministry deems appropriate on this matter.
