Instructions were given out to the Army, the National Guard, and the Ministry of Interior during a meeting to put each in charge of the areas under total lockdown, which was announced yesterday by the Council of Ministers. The procedures for coordination among them during this lockdown period was discussed. The personnel of the Kuwait army would take over the control of the entire Farwaniya area, while the National Guard would be responsible for maintaining order in Khaitan area.
The Ministry of the Interior would ensure Mahboula, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Hawally and Al-Nugra would adhere to the lockdown measures. The clear and explicit instructions underscore to all three authorities entrusted with maintaining quarantine and lockdown rules that the law has to be implemented on everyone and violators of the ban should be punished, as well should assist humanitarian cases in those areas by providing them with their daily necessities.
