The National Assembly endorsed on Tuesday a draft law regarding issuing a common system to combat commercial fraud in GCC member states. A total of 54 MPs okayed the bill in the second reading.

The explanatory note of the bill said that the law is compatible with the goals of the economic agreements signed amongst six GCC member states.

The goals eye advanced stages of the Gulf integration, and seek to enact similar legislations and legal bases in the economic and financial fields.

The bill reflects a desire to boost GCC members’ economies and continues steps taken to achieve the economic unity so as to facilitate commercial transactions in the region.

The parliament discussed, in its regular session, the report of the committee of financial and economic affairs on the draft law of the common system to combat commercial fraud in GCC states.
