The Director-General of Kuwait Municipality, Ahmed Al-Manfouhi, has issued a decision to limit the number of shops in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Khaitan and Farwaniya saying only one shop is permissible for one commercial real estate.

The decision includes the formation of a joint committee headed by the Deputy Director General for the Farwaniya and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipal Sector Affairs and the membership of the Jahra Municipality Branch Director, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, the Fire Force, the Public Authority for Civil Information, the shop licensing controller Ahmed Dashti and the head of the licenses department to list the shops in Jleeb, Khaitan and Farwaniya.

Al-Manfouhi specified the committee’s job to examine the status of real estate that has more than one store, and determine the eligibility of only one, in preparation for the Public Authority for Civil Information to grant it an automatic number in accordance with its established procedures, indicating that the committee’s work period is six months or until the completion of its mission.

On the other hand, Al-Manfouhi issued a decision to form a working group to implement the data classification policy in the municipality, headed by the Deputy Director General for Development and Information Affairs.
