Kuwait Municipality has issued an administrative circular on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha to all concerned departments and emergency teams in the municipality’s branches in the governorates to intensify field tours to fight the phenomenon of roaming butchers and beggars.

A local Arabic daily said, the circular issued by the Acting Director General of Kuwait Municipality, Eng. Nadia Al-Shraideh, stresses on the need to apprehend those begging for alms on the street corners and take legal measures against the cleaning companies responsible for these workers.

The circular also calls for the intensification of tours to central kitchens and restaurants during the Eid holidays to ensure workers have health certificates, in addition to providing logistical support to the main and temporary slaughterhouses that are subject to the jurisdiction of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition in terms of providing labor and garbage containers and removing dirt and waste from outside the slaughterhouses.
