Director General of the Municipality, Eng. Ahmed Al-Manfouhi, issued a memorandum suspending building licenses for schools in Sabah Al-Salem, an Arab daily reported.
Al-Manfouhi, in the move to temporarily freeze the issuance of licenses, called on all municipality sectors, as well as relevant departments within its jurisdiction to cease the granting of regulatory approvals and building permits for any kind of school facilities in the Sabah Al-Salem area. The official specified that the decision is temporary until further notice and served as an anchor to further conduct organizational study on the area.
Furthermore, he urged the departments to abide by the decision or legal accountability awaits those who choose to violate what was stipulated in the circular.
