Kuwait Municipality officials in coordination with security officials moved in on a camping site in Al-Subbiya and removed an illegal camp found erected there.

The Municipality had reportedly not renewed the licence of the camp owner, as he was found to be involved in illegal activities at the camp the previous year.

An unidentified Kuwaiti man complained to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) that the camp which was set up weeks ago organized illegal parties involving women and played loud music on weekends.

The MoI officials informed the municipality, which then verified the fact and confirmed that such activities were indeed taking place in the camp and that the camp had been erected illegally without permission.

Municipality officials with support from MoI personnel then tore down the camp after issuing due warning to the owner.
