Municipal Council member Fahd Al-Abdul-Jader proposed the establishment of multiple parking lots for surface and multi-storey boats to accommodate the increasing number of boats in Kuwait, Al Jarida reported.
He explained that the lack of berths and parking lots, as well as the high cost of berths, has been causing problems for boat owners and operators. He also noted that Kuwait is a major boat market, accounting for 40% of boat sales in the Middle East.
In addition, Al-Abdul-Jader’s proposal is in response to complaints from citizens about boats being parked in random places, which has caused narrow roads and problems with neighbors.
