MP Abdulkarim-Al–Kandari

MP Abdullah Al-Kandari has inquired regarding the expatriate consultants and reporters employed in Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) to the Minister of Information Mohammad Nasir Abdullah Al-Jabri. He requested various details on the number of expatriate consultants and reporters in KUNA, including their nationalities, qualifications, experience, salaries and positions.

He also asked about the terms of their contracts, contract renewal dates since 2018, and contracts which shifted from salaries to wages throughout the aforementioned period.

Meanwhile, MP Khalil Al- Saleh stressed that the decision of a local bank to terminate the contracts of several Kuwaiti employees is totally unacceptable. He warned such a step will negatively affect the job security in the private sector in general, and the banking sector in particular. He called on the relevant authorities to interfere in order to rectify this mistake.

In another development, MPs Muhammad Al-Hadiya and Shuaib Al-Muwaizri joined their colleagues in voicing objection to the spread of immoral activities, especially in beach resorts and islands. Al-Hadiya stressed the importance of taking tough action against those who tarnish the conservative nature of the Kuwaiti society by engaging in immoral activities. He urged the Ministry of Interior to intensify security campaigns to put an end to such activities and set up more police stations in areas which receive a high number of complaints from citizens regarding immoral acts.
