The Ministry of Social Affairs (MOSA) denied the news that is being circulated about a government supported website link for individuals and families to register for the disbursement of purchases during the implementation of the total curfew in the country, reported Al Rai daily.
Undersecretary of Ministry of Social Affairs Abdul Aziz Shuaib said in a press statement that the information circulated through social media sites is completely false, and called on citizens and expats not to believe such rumors and obtain the correct news from its official sources.
He explained that the two circulating website links, one of which is dedicated to the needy families who need different financial aid. He pointed out that it is possible for the family to receives assistance from more than one charitable organization and the type. He added that they must reach charitable societies at this time, noting that all needy families of any nationality can register.
He added that the second link was launched today, and is dedicated to workers residing in Kuwait on Article 18 visa, and is linked to the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI). He revealed that through the link, food baskets are delivered to the registrants according to the registered address, or a date is set for receipt by the associations that have distribution centers. He stressed that it aims to deliver the food baskets to the needy workers and distribute them in a safe manner in accordance with health precautions.
