In a bid to improve road traffic and ensure the safety of vehicle drivers, the Ministry of Interior imposed a set of requirements for owners of delivery companies. An Arab daily reported that the following regulations will be enforced on 1st of October 2022.

1. The delivery driver must have a health certificate issued by the Food Authority.

2. The delivery vehicle must bear a sticker stating the company owner of the vehicle.

3. The residence of the delivery drivers should be under the same company that hired them.

4. The delivery driver should wear a uniform at all times, whether it is for a car or motorcycle.

The Ministry urged that business owners should abide by these instructions, stressing that violation of these laws will result in the withdrawal of their business licenses and application of legal actions against them, within the keenness of the General Directorate of Traffic to safeguard traffic safety and road order.

Moreover, the Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic and Operations Affairs, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, held a meeting with the President of the Federation of Consumer Delivery Companies, Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, and the Vice-President of the Federation of Consumer Delivery Companies, to verify these requirements.
