The Ministry of Interior announced an inventory of 87,140 vehicles owned by expatriates whose residencies have been canceled or who are deceased.

The Security Media Department drew the attention of all those who own or use a vehicle owned by persons whose residence permits have been canceled or who are deceased and said they must visit the General Traffic Department to transfer the ownership of the vehicle, cancel it or renew it, according to an official power of attorney documented by the official authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.

In the event that this procedure is not taken, a violation will be issued, and the vehicle will be impounded in accordance with Article (207) of the Traffic Law, which states that a motorized vehicle or car of any kind may be impounded if it is caught running on the road in case the driver does not hold a driving license or without valid insurance.

The administration may also sell it in a public auction according to followed legal procedures.
