Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the death of the perpetrator who savagely killed the police officer Abdulaziz Al-Rashedi who was on duty.
In a statement, the General Department of Relations and Security Media at the Ministry said that the killer was apprehended after gunfire exchange, and was immediately transferred to hospital but died effected by gunshot wounds.
The Ministry of Interior formed an investigation team, noting that security personnel were able to track the suspect after the incident, and was found in Al-Wafra area, it said.
It elaborated that it had received a call saying a person attacked his mother in Mubarak Al-Kabir Governorate.
Police officers who arrived at the scene witnessed a 54 year old woman dead after several stabs in her house, it added.
Ministry of Interior offered its condolences to the victims’ families, praying to Allah Almighty to bless their souls with mercy in Paradise and bring solace to their relatives.
