The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior (Chairman of the Supreme Traffic Council), Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, has asked the municipality to report on the requirements set by the municipality for the establishment of waiting places for commuters using mass transportation.

According to Al-Qabas daily the senior Interior Ministry official also wants to know if the regulations and laws allow the establishment of closed glass waiting places or the like with special specifications for the safety of users and inquired about the jurisdiction of the municipality with regard to public mass transportation vehicles.

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy also called on the municipality to provide it with the regulatory plans for the agricultural regions of Abdali and Wafra, in order to start work on designing the street lighting network.

The Ministry indicated that it is working on installing street lighting equipment in the agricultural regions of Abdali and Wafra as part of the contract for the installation of street lighting equipment in all regions of the country, out of concern for the security and safety of road users.

In the meantime, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training sent a letter to the municipality regarding the expansion of the Entrepreneurs and Small Enterprises Center in the retail market in Shuwaikh.

The authority indicated that the center needs additional spaces and future expansion, in order to create a multi-purpose hall and increase the number of workshops, due to the increase in demand by the initiators, hoping to accept the request to expand the site by including external spaces.
